Keep scrolling after the trailers there are 10 different movies!

1) Dil Chahta Hai:
Directed by Farhan Akhtar and Starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna. The movie revolves around these three characters and their different approaches to relationships and life. This movie is easily my favourite with an extraordinary music album, splendid direction and acting performances which are unforgettable. The movie is liked by both critics and audiences and if you want a reference point it reminds be a lot of Zindagi Milegi Dobara because here too its three friends and their journey. If you have even sparse amounts of time this spring make some time to watch this movie if you haven’t already. You can catch this movie on Amazon Prime.
2) Wake Up Sid!:
This movie is a must watch for everyone, directed by Ayan Mukherji and starring Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen Sharma. The movie is about a spoilt boy living in Bombay and how his life changes. The coming of age story is inspiring and heart breaking at the same time. I also found the story gripping and the screenplay never gets monotonous. The movie is a breath of fresh air. You can catch this movie on Netflix.
3) Rang De Basanti:
The movie is about six boys who help an English woman film a documentary. Through this journey they learn about freedom and the Indian freedom struggle. The movie fills you with patriotic zeal but it is never jingoistic it is subtle and one of the finest works of cinema. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and starring Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor and others the movie is perfect for any mood, but keep a few tissues nearby the movie does get emotional. You can catch this movie on Netflix.
4) Swades:
The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan and in my opinion this is the movie in which he delivers his careers best performance. The movie is about a NASA based scientist who learns about Indian culture and rediscovers his roots. The movie is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and is perfect for a night indoors. You can catch this movie on Netflix or Youtube.
5) Lagaan:
This movie is iconic for its final cricket match and stellar performances by Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh. The music, setting, cinematography, choreography all complement the movie. Direction by Ashutosh Gowariker is also spectacular, the movie is about villagers who stake all they own on a cricket match against the British invaders. The movie also has well made characters and never uses nationalistic fervour to add life to the movie. You can catch this movie on Netflix.
6) Lakshya:
This movie when released was not welcomed by audiences because it was way ahead of its time. The movie is about a young aimless boy who joins the Indian army and becomes a battlefield hero. Directed by Farhan Akhtar and starring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Amitabh Bachchan the movie may get repetitive but hang in there the emotions and characters will lift you up again instantly. You can catch this movie on Amazon Prime.
7) Andaz Apna Apna:
This is an anytime watch movie, watch it with you family friends or alone and you are bound to enjoy it. The movie is an irrational comedy and I promise you, you will be laughing throughout it. The situations, acting by Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karishma Kapoor, and direction by Rajkumar Santoshi are splendid. The movies plot about two jobless young men competing to get the affection of a heiress may seem hair-brained but the movie is a journey in itself. You can catch this movie on Netflix.
8) Vicky Donor:
This is one of the more recent movies, and like its title the movie itself also has sexual jokes and references but you will never be disgusted by its premise of a sperm donor supplying his sperm to an infertility doctor and all the drama with it. Directed by Shoojit Sircar and starring Ayushman Khurrana and Yami Gautam he movie is hilarious and the characters are sharply etched. These characters have a beating heart of their own and involve you in their story so much that you forget that this is just a movie. You can catch this movie on Youtube.
9) Barfi!:
Barfi is an unlikely romantic comedy between Ranbir Kapoor, Illeana D’Cruz and Priyanka Chopra. The movie shows how love cannot be defined by a society and be called normal or abnormal. The movie directed by Anurag Basu and Sunil Subramani is clever especially in their chase sequences and lighthearted. The movie is long and can get boring but it is hilarious and contains extraordinary acting performances. You can catch this movie on Netflix.
10) Rock On:
Directed by Abhishek Kapoor and Starring Arjun Rampal, Farhan Akhtar, Purab Kohli and Luke Kenny the movie is about four friends who reunite to form a band and relive their moments as a rock band. The music is the highlight of this movie and you can rewatch it just for its amazing soundtrack. The movie as well is extremely well made and will keep you engaged for its whole run time.
